Mountain Health Trust/Physician Assured Access System have a common goal: helping West Virginia Medicaid consumers just like you select a primary care provider (family doctor) who best meets your needs. This primary care provider is your "medical home." As a Medicaid consumer, you should always see your primary care provider for your health care needs. Of course, if you have a true emergency, always go immediately to the nearest emergency room. For all other health care, see your primary care provider.

If you are not yet eligible for Medicaid health insurance coverage, follow the link to the list of local Departments of Health and Human Resources where your search for health insurance coverage should begin. Once you have been determined eligible, review this website for the Managed Care Organization choices available in your county. Click on your county on the map of West Virginia or the list next to the map. You will then see the choices available in your county. Each plan choice has a description page and a provider directory that will help you make your selection.
